FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

July 2019   |   Edition No. 1   |   Monthly Digital Edition

AOPA Australia Members & Industry Supporters,

On behalf of AOPA Australia I would like to welcome everyone to our new AOPA SPORT Digital Magazine, published monthly and managed by Editor Mr Brian Bigg.  Brian is a highly respected magazine editor, aviation writer and industry commentator, who is returning to AOPA Australia after eight years at the helm of the RA-Aus Sport Pilot magazine.

The launch of AOPA SPORT comes as a result of strong growth in our membership and aims to project a powerful independent voice on a wide variety of sport and recreational regulatory, industry and community topics, celebrating the importance of sport and recreational aircraft owners, pilots and businesses to the future of our aviation industry.

I have no doubt that Brian and his team will be working hard each and every month to deliver reliable and engaging content along with powerful discussion, opinion and debate on all the important issues.  A big congratulations to the AOPA SPORT team on their very first edition, and we look forward to many more ahead!

A reminder for members, that as we move into the last half of 2019 we are all preparing for AUSFLY ‘All Aviators Under One Sky’, with aircraft owners and pilots from across Australia preparing to converge on Narromine in NSW for three enormous days of aviation, seminars, workshops, airshows, fun, camping, mateship, and importantly beers & barbecues!

AUSFLY 2019 kicks off 17th to 20th October, for more information on AUSFLY 2019, visit:  www.ausfly.com.au

On behalf of AOPA Australia, I warmly invite all of our Sport and Recreational members to attend AUSFLY 2019 in Narromine.  There are no entry fees or charges to attend, simply load up your aircraft and bring your friends – it’s all about mateship and our passion for aviation.  AOPA Australia will be onsite with our Members Coach, Flight Simulators, AOPA PILOT, SPORT & STUDENT Editorial Teams, Drone Zone and much much more.

Lastly, our AOPA Australia $9,995 Virtual Reality Flight Simulator raffle will be drawn at AUSFLY!  One lucky aviator will WIN their very own VR Flight Simulator system valued at $9,995.  Grab your raffle tickets online at:  https://aopa.com.au/win-a-vr-flight-simulator/

Best regards,

BENJAMIN  MORGAN
