WELCOME TO JUNIOR PILOTS
In 2018, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Australia launched it’s Junior Pilots program, aimed at helping connect Australia’s youth with general aviation aircraft and flying, through the use of digital flight simulation tools and resources, pilot mentors and access to general aviation aircraft.
The program gives youth the opportunity to get up close and personal with aircraft, meet pilots and education mentors, participate in hands-on interactive learning and experiences, along with experiencing their first flight in a light aircraft – all in a fun and interactive exposition that is welcoming to youth.
The Junior Pilots program has completed its first full year of operations and has quickly become a signature activity at Australia’s leading Aero Club fly-in and airshow events.
