AOPA Australia will soon welcome three fully refurbished Cessna 150/152’s to our Junior Pilots programme, supporting our various events and engagements with ‘First Flight Experiences’ for industry newcomers. Being flown by volunteer AOPA Australia members, the three aircraft will set about introducing hundreds of people to their first flight in a light aircraft, whilst providing a powerful AOPA Australia brand experience.
Our goal is to welcome thousands of new pilots and members through this initiative.
The aircraft and the refurbishment programme are owned and funded byMuskridge Aviation (owned by AOPA Australia Member Peter Morgan… yes, he is also my father!) A very big thank you to Peter (Dad) for your very kind and generous support of our youth engagement initiative.
The refurbishment programme is being run from the Muskridge Aviation hangar at Bankstown Airport and AOPA Australia members are welcome to volunteer and take part. Each week we publish refurbishment updates on each of the aircraft, which you can follow, using the links below;
