The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Australia welcomes Mr David Grant to our Industry Advocacy Team.

David first learned to fly in 1966, under the guidance and tutelage of this father, a WW2 Catalina pilot and Flight Instructor with the Aero Club of Southern Tasmania.  David’s flying career has encompassed general aviation private flying, flight instruction, commercial charter flying, airline, and corporate jet operations, amassing over 30,000 flight hours.

“David is a highly experienced and passionate aviator that understands the need for vital reform of Australia’s aviation regulations to ensure our industry’s future.”

“I am looking forward to working with David in progressing AOPA Australia’s advocacy agenda with both Government and industry.” Benjamin Morgan, CEO AOPA Australia.

“I’m excited to be working with AOPA Australia as an Advocate Representative, helping continue the good work the association does on behalf of our members and industry.

“As someone that has first-hand experience flying into and within the United States, I am struck by the contrast between our two aviation economies.  One is vibrant and dynamic, supported by a regulatory administration that cares and educates, the other (Australia) is in a staggering state of decline and needing desperate reform to survive.”

“Aviation has given me a wonderful life of opportunity, I feel a responsibility to use my experience to help ensure our nation has a strong aviation future ahead.”, Mr David Grant, Advocacy Representative AOPA Australia.
