The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Australia and AVPLAN EFB will work together to deliver an IOS/Android APP for all general and recreational aircraft owners and pilots to track investment in local communities.

Nationwide, general and recreational aircraft owners and pilots are investing many millions of dollars into regional communities and townships.  From taxi services to cafes and restaurants, accommodation and entertainment, aircraft maintenance, flight training and more; aircraft owners and pilots are an invaluable contributor to local employment, tourism, business, and trade.

AOPA Australia and AVPLAN EFB are working together to deliver a mobile application that will provide a simple and efficient service to record expeneses paid by pilots as they travel throughout Australia.  Using the data collected, AOPA Australia will be able to produce quarterly and annual guidance material, to highlight the contribution aircraft owners and pilots make to regional and local communities, assisting the association with our airport advocacy.

I would like to thank AVPLAN EFB and their entire team for their ongoing partnership and support, which will enable our industry to concisely communicate the value of general and recreational aviation to local, state, and federal government.

I would also like to extend my thanks and appreciation to Azimuth Partners, who will be working with AOPA Australia in the preparation of our quarterly and annual data reporting, ensuring the information and guidance material is to the highest standards.

AOPA Australia anticipates an investment of approximately $10,000 to develop and deliver this essential application to the industry.  As a not for profit association entirely self-funded by participating member aircraft owners and pilots, we are warmly inviting the industry’s assistance by way of memberships and donations to help us with this project.
