Port Macquarie Lunch Fly-Away

Lunch at the Beach House

Port Macquarie, Saturday April 6, 2019

AOPA Australia members, family and friends are invited to the first AOPA Australia Flying Event – lunch at the popular Beach House restaurant, Port Macquarie to be held on Saturday February 2, 2019.  Make it a day trip or combine it with a visit for a few days.

The Beach House restaurant is located on the Port Macquarie CBD waterfront and is a great place to enjoy a relaxed and sumptuous lunch.  More information on the Beach House can be found at

Pilot and passengers will enjoy the flight to Port Macquarie, which includes an opportunity to transit the Williamtown Control Zone via the spectacular VFR coastal route.  A return flight can comfortably be done in a day in Piper Warrior or Cessna 172 type aircraft from Sydney as Bankstown to Port Macquarie is 177 nautical miles direct.

Details on lunch options and airport transfers will be provided in January to interested participants – but budget around $100 per person, excluding drinks to cover these costs.

The aim of AOPA Australia Flying Events is to provide members enjoyable GA experiences at wonderful Australian destinations.  The flying events calendar can be found at
