As part of the revitalisation of AOPA Australia aviation engagement program, we have had a fantastic response to our first fly-in hosted by the Moruya Flying club on Saturday 29th June with over 30 AOPA Members and 12 aircraft so far participating.

There is still plenty of airfield parking available, so please come and enjoy a great BBQ lunch with other pilots and aviation enthusiasts.

Each month AOPA Australia will coordinate a Fly-in, Safari or a special event.

Up and coming events are:

  • Saturday July 27th –AOPA Funflight Bankstown 2019.

Pilots volunteering their aeroplane or helicopter with the help of ground volunteers, take children touched by adversity and their families on a joy flight lasting 30 to 40 minutes over either Hornsby or Warragamba Dam and back to Bankstown. Thus giving children and families the chance to experience Sydney from a different perspective.

To Volunteer please go to; www.aopa.com.au/aopa-funflight-bankstown/

  • Saturday August 10th– AOPA Australia Kimberley’s Safari crews meet at Katherine.

Throughout the Kimberley region 29 AOPA members will enjoy 14 nights exploring magnificent landscapes and water falls while staying at iconic cattle stations.

While exploring the Kimberley’s Kreishia Ballantyne will follow our members progress posting regular Videos, photos and interviews.

If you or your club would be interested in hosting an AOPA Australia Fly-in please let us know on 0422 157 991 or george.higgins@aopa.com.au
