Tumut Valley Fly-In Open Day
Tumut – Saturday October 12, 2019
AOPA members, family and friends are invited to the AOPA Flying Event for October 2019 – at Tumut Airport for the Tumut Valley Open Day event to be held on October 12 2019. Make it a day trip or combine it with a visit for a few days.
This is a well attended annual event, coupled with Tumut Aero Club’s great atmosphere is perfect for congregating together. Meet fellow pilots and aircraft owners to relate tales and specifics about your aircraft and flying. Food and drink can also be purchased at the venue. More information on the Tumut Aero Club can be found at
http://www.tumutaeroclub.org.au
Pilot and passengers will enjoy the flight to Tumut, which can track over the Southern Tablelands and Lake Burrinjuck. An alternative routing could be to overfly Canberra, then track via Corin Reservoir and Cabramurra for excellent views of the Snow Mountains. A return flight can comfortably be done in a day in Piper Warrior or Cessna 172 type aircraft from Sydney as Bankstown to Tumut is 158 nautical miles direct.
Further details on the event, will be provided late September to interested participants.
