Sydney Scenic Flights
Sunday Morning July 7, 2019
held in the Sydney area on Sunday morning July 7 2019. Enjoy the crisp, clear flying conditions that are normally found at this time of the year, providing opportunities for spectacular views, along with the associated opportunities for photographs and videos. With luck those flying coastal may spot a migrating whale.
Depending on where aircraft are based, the morning provides the following scenic flying opportunities:
- Harbour Scenic
- Victor One Coastal Route
- Lake Burragorang and Warragamba Dam
- Megalong Valley and the Blue Mountains
Each aircraft has the flexibility of flying a combination of these. From 10:00, brunch at about $10 per person will be available in the BBQ area at AOPA Australia member Altocap Flight School at Camden airport. An example of how the morning could work for Bankstown based aircraft could be:
- Depart Bankstown around 08:00
- Fly a harbour scenic and then continuing on to the Victor one southbound coastal route
- Arrive Camden around 10:00
- Brunch at the Altocap Flight School at Camden airport
- Depart Camden and fly Lake Burragorang, Megalong Valley and the Blue Mountains before retuning to Bankstown
