Cessna 200 Series Association Autumn Fly-In

Horsham, Friday 26 to Monday 29 April, 2019

All aircraft types are welcome!

The Cessna 200 Series Association is organising a 4 day fly-in to Horsham, Victoria from Friday 26 to Monday 29 April 2019.   The theme for the stay is flying, food, wine and olives!

Accommodation has been organised at the Horsham International Hotel.  Contact them on 03 5381 7555 and quote code Ces200 to receive a discounted rate that will apply for the three nights from Friday 26 April.  For example, deluxe queen room rate has been discounted to $149, and the executive king spa room discounted to $199 per night.

On Friday the main activity will be dinner at the Olde Horsham.  On Saturday it is first out to the airport for the biannual general meeting and morning tea.  Then it is a flight to the Boundary Bend Olive Farm which comes with its 1300 metre private airstrip.  Along with a tour of the farm, a talk by its owner Rob McGavin who is a Cessna 210 owner, there will also be lunch.  Boundary Ben is about 124 nautical miles to the north east of Horsham, and with a few detours there will be opportunities to fly over painted silos that dot the area.  That evening there will be dinner at the hotel along with a guest speaker.  Details of the Boundary Bend airstrip can be found via the following link:

On Sunday the day starts with a technical talk and morning tea.  Late morning the bus will take the group to Great Western for lunch, along with an opportunity to visit wineries in the area.  Returning to Horsham will be via Halls Gap nestled in the heart of the Grampians.  That evening dinner will be a BBQ at the Horsham Flying Club.

Horsham is just respectively 161, 206 and 463 nautical miles direct from Moorabbin, Parafield and Bankstown so it fairly centrally located for access.  Please contact Wendy Brand on 0407 811 777 or Annie Haynes on 0418 853 635 if you wish to find out more.
