AOPA at Work

I was appointed as the Returning Officer for this year’s board election, and the results are in. In the March-April issue of Australian Pilot we called for nominations for the four vacant positions on the AOPA Board of Directors. Nominations needed to be submitted by close of business on the 6th of April, by which time we received four valid submissions.

As there were only four submissions, the nominees will be elected unopposed, and therefore it will not be necessary to conduct a ballot of members. The members to be elected are returning Directors Jeff Muller, Andrew Andersen, and Peter Holstein, and will be joined by newly appointed Peter Rejto.

In other news, we are currently processing the final updates for the 2010 National Airfield Directory, and are hoping to have it available within the next few weeks. There are a lot of updates in this edition, especially with several airfields in the firing line of local councils, and the odd new airfield popping up. Log on to www.aopa.com.au and head to the ‘Information Centre’ to download your order form and send it in to the office by post, email, or fax to secure your copy.
